Welcome to the New Blog

November 2025

I'm excited to introduce my new monthly blog. Over the last few years I have seen a slow decline in the reliability of using social media as a practical marketing tool. Instagram has been a great way for me to connect to collectors and to help new people reach my work. However, as the platform has changed it has become more and more difficult for artists and creators to reach their audience. They are increasingly shut out by algorithms, and divisive and misleading content. Therefore I am transitioning back to more traditional forms of marketing to reach my audience so that I can build a real and sustainable community.

This will take the form of monthly blogs showing behind the scenes of my studio life and practice, as well as updates on new works and exhibitions. I have always enjoyed writing, particularly about art, so this will also be a place for me to share my thoughts about painting and just about art and life in general. I hope that, unlike the fast-pace consumption model of social media, this will be a place to share something more meaningful and longer lasting. I will of course still update my Instagram regularly, this will just act as a supplement. I will be sending these as mail-outs each month but they will also be posted here for you to re-read or revisit whenever you like. Please do subscribe to my newsletter to get updates sent directly to you to keep up to date.

This week, my upcoming solo show Equestrian Forms is set to open at Jonathan Cooper Gallery in London, with an online preview on 7th November. The exhibition will be on display in the gallery from 1st December until the New Year, showcasing over 20 paintings and drawings.

Alongside the exhibition I have written an article for Femme Magazine titled From Arena to Atelier- The Rise of the Rider-Collector which delves into contemporary collectors of equestrian art. The article is accompanied by a Q&A about what goes into making an exhibition. The article is out on the 8th November.

I am currently planning my next collection of paintings for the spring which will focus on botanical studies.

For now I'll leave you with some studio images of my works in progress. Thanks for reading
